The department of pop music has been functioning since 1993 with full-time and part-time education. Since 1996, the qualification «Variety Ensemble Manager and Soloist» has been added to the above specialization.
At the department, students take a full course of study according to approved programs. There are all the necessary conditions for students: equipment for the ensemble class, a recording studio, in which modern equipment allows for complex, creative work on arranging pop music. In specially equipped classes, stage movement, acting, the basics of sound engineering of the TS, programming and technical operation of electric musical instruments, the basics of jazz improvisation, light music and sound design, and stage direction are taught.
Students actively participate in various events of the citywide and prestigious republican competitions, festivals dedicated to significant dates and events.
Former graduates of the department Nazarenko Svetlana soloist of the 312 group, Aigul Chalova, Tynay Alybaev soloist of the Insan group, Zhanetta Bobkova, Arunova Burul, Mamyrbai uulu Alymkul soloist of the Muz Aman group, Talantbek uulu Marat soloist of the Sanzhyra group and many are employed in all regions , and also successfully work as teachers and soloists in abroad as well as the capital of the republic.
